The Spitfire LMG is an Primary Weapon for Pilots appearing in Titanfall.

Summary[edit | edit source]

The Spitfire LMG is currently the only LMG in the game. As such, it has an 80 round magazine and has 800 spare rounds (or 10 extra mags). It is unlocked at level 39, or by using the respective Burn Card. The Spitfire uses an unfamiliar (to FPS games at least) recoil pattern, kicking somewhat sporadically when beginning to fire, then stabilizing as continuous fire is achieved. Seeing as how this is an LMG, it sticks true to the name by killing enemy pilots within 3-5 bullets at close range or 7-10 bullets at long range. It also has decent Rodeo damage, taking out enemy titans at full health in a single clip. This can be reduced further by equipping the Slammer mod, reducing enemy titans to nothing in about half the magazine.

Strategy[edit | edit source]

The Spitfire LMG is a weapon that requires little skill to use, but great positioning. To use it, it is best to either try to take out titans with the immense rodeo damage, or defend the objective.
