Rapid fire energy LMG.

Tips and Tricks[edit | edit source]

- This weapon is excellent in mid-range battles. If you have the drop on an enemy you will most likely kill them before they have a chance to retaliate. Incorporating a slealthy playstyle with the L-STAR can be effective for this reason.

- Firing from the hip is highly effective with the L-STAR as its hip-fire accuracy is not worsened from prolonged fire. It is also great for wall running and hanging on a friendly titan for this reason.

- The easiest and most effective way to use this weapon is to hip fire, ADS increases your chance of being killed.

- Keep in mind the slow projectile speed of the L-STAR when engaging targets; you'll have to lead your shots in most cases. The faster the opponent is moving, and the farther away they are, the more you'll have to lead your shots; not to mention taking your own speed into account. This makes the L-STAR require more thought and effort than most other weapons but can make kills more rewarding.

- Firing in bursts is an effective way to manage the magazine of the weapon, although in cases when engaging one opponent it can be best to spray until they die and stop firing when the weapon starts beeping at you. Managing the magazine is critical in dominating the battlefield with this weapon.

- The extended clip is great if you find the magazine to be too small and will help when engaging more than one opponent.

- If you find yourself frequently overheating the weapon often it is probably best to stick with the quick reload.

- It takes about 4 or 5 shots to the body to kill an enemy depending on the range and 3 for headshots.
